Ever get tired of spending hundreds of $$ at the drug store on overpriced beauty products? Especially when most of them don't even come close to working? Don't we all. Here are just a few beauty tips and tricks that will allow you to bypass the cosmetics/lotions/potions aisles.
Got dandruff? Don't be ashamed, millions of others do too. Don't waste your money on all the treatments/shampoos out there. Take care of it with a little vinegar. Simple white vinegar will work fine. Just massage it into your scalp, then let it dry for a few minutes (10 will do it). Then wash your hair like normal. Don't worry - the smell comes out if you wash it thoroughly. You won't walk around smelling like a salad.
Don't even get me started on the facial masks sold in stores. DON'T BUY THEM! You can make your own all natural mask at home with sometimes much better results. Here's one I use all the time:
1 tsp plain yogurt
the juice of 1/4 of an orange
Stir the ingredients together and then use your fingertips to spread onto your face. Leave it on for 5 minutes or so and then rinse. Your face will be cleansed, and the Vitamin C is fantastic for your skin.
Got stained fingernails or nails that just aren't as white as you'd like them? Just mix some water and lemon juice and simply soak your nails in the mixture.
Those are just a few homemade beauty tips/tricks that will save you a lot of money (not to mention frustration). There are thousands of other tips on the web, just do a simple search.

Let It Out
Ok, I know I just posted my first blog a few hours ago, but I just had to make another one. I'm letting you all into my cheesy/sappy side. I just love this Kleenex commercial. It's got the right amount of cheese, and the right amount of sincerity. And I totally agree with its message.
So to all of you: Let it out...You'll feel better, I promise. Or your money back. :-)

Welcome To My World...
Apathy:
1 : lack of feeling or emotion
2 : lack of interest or concern
So am I apathetic? Not really. But a lot of people (and by that I mean: people older than me) seem to refer to my generation as 'Generation Apathy'. Because we don't care about the same things they do, or show that we care in the same ways, they just assume we don't care about anything.
I think that's a load.
We certainly do care about things and we show our concern in different ways.
This blog will be my way. I'll use it to talk about things that bother me about the world we live in (and about the people who live in it) and whatnot. And sometimes I'll just mindlessly ramble about things that make no difference whatsoever. Beyond that, if I find anything that interests me and I think it deserves more attention - I'll probably post it here. How's that for apathy? ;-)
And feel free to write a comment expressing how you feel about whatever I've said. Whether you agree or disagree - makes no difference to me.
So to get us started: Do you think today's generation is really apathetic? If you are a member of said generation: what is your reaction to being called 'Generation Apathy'?
